Priscila Barros (@mamaandthetribe) is a single mom of three curly-headed boys. She moved to Northwest Arkansas about three years ago from San Diego, California. Priscila is the creator, editor, and owner of the internationally recognized kid’s fashion magazine – Babiekins Magazine (@babiekinsmag), Founder of TargetLittles (@targetlittles) and wannabe farmer at her Centerton farm, Folk & Flora (@folkandflora).
She is also a well-known fashion/prop stylist, creative director, writer and influencer that has worked with some of the biggest names in the fashion, music and entertainment business.
Priscila has a heart to help others in the community feel welcome by creating a magazine that will not only be aesthetics pleasing but be full of useful information for new families moving into this area- including a directory and multiple city guides.
As a minority herself (she was adopted at the age of five from Sao Paulo, Brasil), she also feels the pull to help the growing minority population in NWA (and beyond) by giving them an opportunity to have a voice and to be seen by those in our community.
Ana Gabriela Ortiz (@sorella_photography) moved to Northwest Arkansas in 2005 from Santa Cruz, CA. She is a talented professional photographer with 14 years of fashion expertise and also a Spanish teacher by trade.
Ana is passionate about what makes Northwest Arkansas great and wants to show others the beauty, growth, and surroundings through her creative eye and lense.
Her hope is that through Rooted Folk, the community, photography, videos and stories, we will be creating a place where everyone feels included, valued and welcome.
Ana is a mother of two sweet little girls and can often be seen sharing her love for art, nature, fashion and adventure throughout Bentonville, eating at her local favorites and taking photos of her recent escapades.
Charlotte is a homeschooling mum of 3, originally from the UK.
She has lived in several states before settling in Northwest Arkansas 12 years ago.
Charlotte has a passion for early childhood development, healthy living, and volunteering with local nonprofits.
As a self-described hippie and outdoor enthusiast, you can usually find her out hiking, biking, floating the rivers, or on the lake.
As someone who has moved multiple times and likes to be active in the community, she sees a need for connecting new residents with local events, businesses, and charities, so they can feel at home in Northwest Arkansas.
LaQuan, also known as Q @(qphotography_) grew up in a small town in Southeast Arkansas and moved to Northwest Arkansas in 2017 looking to expand his business and get out of his comfort zone. Being completely self-taught, Q has built his style, repertoire, and his dynamic portfolio through years of dedication and hard work. His love for fashion, modern portraits, and clean lines can be seen through his rich photography that seems to capture more than an image but a sense of optimism, power, and beauty.
